emo/punk rock
The past few days I have been listening to loads of punk and emo rock music… Some of the songs from Story of the Year, I’ve discovered are quite poetic.
Here’s a couple of my faves:
Anthem of Our Dying by Story of the Year
The stars will cry the blackest tears tonight
And this is the moment that I live for
I can smell the ocean air
Here I am, pouring my heart onto these rooftops
Just a ghost to the world
That’s exactly, exactly what I need

(wow, very emotional song… not even a ballad could beat that)
