Currently listening to music by Lisa Loeb, Jill Sobule, and Up Dharma Down… and The Killers, though they are not fronted by a woman or have a female member… :)
From Lisa Loeb -

Fools Like Me (this one’s from Grey’s Anatomy… I want to see the series, ive read good reviews about it)

But I did, I can, I was, I am only human, living, dying
Just like any fool who ever breathed
If love is blind, if love’s a drug, it always is, it always was
And love was surely made for fools like me

<em>Truthfully

This isn’t what I like to call flattery,
but I know that I believe that I’ve found what’s true,
that I’ve found what’s you.

Jill Sobule - Supermodel is included in the Clueless OST. I used to watch Clueless over and over again… the highschool must-see movie. But my favorites are:

Bitter

Well I don’t wanna get bitter
I don’t wanna turn cruel
I don’t wanna get old before I have to

I don’t wanna get jaded
Petrified and weighted

Fiona Apple

Ugly Girl (i find this funny but true… often we sourgrape just to make ourselves feel better)

Hahaha, the joke’s on me

I feel jealous and I feel mean
She’s so nice
That it makes up for her face
There’s no way, do you have to keep your eyes closed
Do you have to keep the lights down low?
Oh I bet you wish you had a blind fold

there’s so much to write… I just couldnt just score on the computer as my youngest bro always use it. in fact right now, I only have a few minutes to use this…

anyway I am so into Paramita right now. i like their songs… Hiling, Panaginip Lang, Takipsilim, and Tala… I am also liking up dharma down’s pag-agos and oo. These two songs from their new album "Fragmented" are way better than Maybe, the single that made them known.

Nahihirapan na ang aking isip
Nauubusan na ng sasabihin sa iyo
Nanlalamig na ba
Ang pag ibig mo?
-
Hiling

San ko hahanapin ang ating nakaraan?
Ala-alang kay tamis at kay saya.
Ang aking puso’y umaasa, nananabik sa yo.
Di mapigil ang damdamin, nababaliw sayo.

- Takipsilim

The other day, I read articles about Travel and Tourism. I love traveling so much… and whenever I find a wonderful and breathaking place, I want to share it with other people who love to travel as much as I do. However, the articles Ive read made me think twice. There’s this one article that tackled the setback of promoting the place too much. This one place in Thailand used to be isolated until people learned of its beauty that they started to storm into the place… and in the end, destroying its beauty and serenity. Evan Nepal faces the same problem…

A friend from Palawan explained that one of the reasons why the road going to Sabang, where the Underground River is, is not fully developed… and remained rough in most parts, is that hagedorn wanted to regulate the number of people going to that area to preserve its natural beauty. He said it will only attract people who are willing to rough it up… That’s reasonable I guess. You see, there are tourists who are irresponsible…. who dont do their share in preserving the nature and environment.

When I was in El Nido, I was saddened that parts of the beach in the mainland was littered with garbage. One of the tourists weve met said people should be educated about preserving the environment… To quote him, he said, "This is the last frontier of the Philippines… they should do something to preserve the environment…"

But we shouldnt only make a conscious effort to dispose of our garbage properly when we are visiting tourist spots… we should also do that when we are home… I am so saddened whenever people throw their garbage anywhere… That’s the least we could do to save the environment and we couldnt even do that.

i am supposed to hit the bed now…

recently, I have been listening nonstop to Nickelback’s Far Away, Smashing Pumpkins’ Perfect, Tori Amos’ Sleeps With Butterflies, and Aimee Mann’s Red Vines.

And I’ll leave the lyrics of Sleeps with Butterflies…

Airplanes take you away againAre you flyingAbove where we live? Then I look up a glare in my eyesAre you having regrets about last night?I'm not but I like rivers that rush inSo then I dove inIs there trouble aheadFor you the acrobat?I won't push you unless you have a net

You say the wordYou know I will find youOr if you need some timeI don't mindI don't hold onTo the tail of your kiteI'm not like the girls that you've knownBut I believe I'm worth coming home toKiss away nightThis girl only sleeps with butterfliesWith butterfliesSo go on and fly then boy

BalloonsLook good from on the groundI fear with pins and needles aroundWe may fall then stumbleUpon a carouselIt could take us anywhere

My horoscope yesterday was really true… Yeah, yeah, I know i should be doing that… In a gradual manner anyway.

My time’s up now… It’s 2am already

Funny, I am the type of person who finds herself dwelling a lot in the past and at the same time is too worried of her future. The least of my concern is my present life. Isnt that wrong?

anyway, for summer, i recommend listening to Ive Mendes. Just listening to her, I miss the beach again.

Here are my favorite Mendes’ singles:
1) Blessed Love
2) Natural High
3) A Biera Mar
4) If You Leave Me Now

Sade’s a good listen too…
